The Independent: ‘Charismatic’ terrorist prisoners to be isolated in jail ‘separation centres’
Recently, Secretary State for Justice of United Kingdom and member of Conservative Party, Dominic Raab declared Government is taking action to suppress the risk of radicalization among prisoners. As Justice Secretary said, the government is forming a team devoted to identifying charismatic terrorists in prisons. Furthermore, Justice Secretary declared he will not let religion and cultural feelings interfere with the fight against terrorism.
Justice Secretary’s action takes after terrorism report on prisons by Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation, Jonathan Hall QC, who declared the current threat in prisons was from Islamist terrorism and that there was “no other comparable threat”.
