Progetto Sereny: Diritti Umani e Prevenzione della Radicalizzazione Giovanile
In the framework of the Summer School “Human Rights Reloaded: Thirty Years of Human Rights at the University of Palermo”, on June 20th, 2023 the event “Sereny Project: Human Rights and Prevention of Youth Radicalization” will take place. The event will be held in Italian, so as to support local authorities and public institutions in fully benefitting from the contents of the conference.
Alida Lo Coco, Full Professor of Development and Education Psychology at the University of Palermo, will chair the panel, which will feature interventions by:

- Paola Maggio, Associate Professor of Criminal Procedural Law, University of Palermo – Radicalisation and treatment of young inmates: penitentiary law profiles”
- Rachele Stroppa, PhD, University of Barcelona and OSPDH (UB) SIRECOVI Fellow – Radicalisation prevention in the Spanish and Catalan prison system, with particular reference to the use of isolation policies”
